Reviewing RWBY: Volume 7
Hey! Once again, I cant really put my thoughts into a fully coherent post so I guess Im doing bullet points again
- I thought everyone was like. joking or exagerating when they said that Ironwood just randomly shoots Oscar but??? Huh???
- Like, im watching this on a piracy site with a comment section and literally everyone was surprised too, well foreshadowed my ass
- Speaking of Oscar, it looks like Oz is back! Thats pretty nice I guess. Im just hoping their relationship finally develops (on screen)
- IRONWOOD SAID ASS
- I hate the new outfits, they look so bad
- Pennys the Winter Maiden :D I sure hope :) nothing bad :) is gonna happen :)
- I dont know if I should be relieved or dissapointed that Ren didnt get more screen time
- Tyrian and Watts are really starting to grow on me. I saw some people talk about how theyre the most charismatic villains after Roman and didnt really see it at first, but yeah now I get it. The only thing they really lack imo is pazazz and some color
- Didnt like Robin Hill or any of the "political commentary". Not because I really disagree or anything it was just awful
- I liked that muscular female Ace Op, Elm was her name I think? She was pretty nice
- I feel like the animation is getting a lot better, I feel like. Really liked the maiden effects
This was pretty alright overall. I think a lot of it (especially the finale) was kind of soured for Ironwood fans, but similarly to Adam and his butchering, I dont really care that much because I didnt really get attached. It is still pretty dissapointing though. I can appreciate a good antagonistic third party that stands in the way of the MCs but still inconviniences the main villain, but from what Ive read of the next volume, we're not getting that so Im bracing myself for even more dissapointment.
